Management Team

Lars is Co-founder & CEO of CFH Markets and is responsible for the company's regulated activities.

Lars Holst is an expert in E-FX with over 12 years of experience in the banking sector. He joins CFH with a unique background from both the retail side, the banking side and most recently from the technology side.
Prior to CFH, Lars was European Head of Currenex's (StateStreet Bank) Margin Trading Group and responsible for both the product side and the business side. Lars was employed to help create and build a new margin (retail) broker trading platform and was responsible for delivering the majority of the global budget.

Lars also spent several years with Dresdner Bank as Head of E-FX Sales and was a key player in all E-FX initiatives and the E-FX turnaround. Lars' responsibilities included business sponsor for Dresdner's white label solutions and for all relationship towards API clients, brokers, ECNs and multi-bank platforms. Before leaving, Lars was made interim business owner of the FX Prime Brokerage team Finally, Lars has over five years experience with Saxo Bank in various leadership roles including Global Head of Sales and Account Management. Robert is CFO and responsible for all reporting, forecasting and treasury duties.

Robert is a qualified Chartered Accountant with several years of corporate finance experience in many sectors, but with a focus on financial services. In recent years, Robert has enjoyed working with and advising a number of successful start-up ventures.

Robert studied Classics at Balliol College, Oxford and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen in the Financial Markets Division, gaining experience across a range of private and public clients in insurance and asset management in his five years at the firm. He then moved to British Linen Advisers where he qualified as a Corporate Finance Adviser with the Securities Institute and for two years advised a number of clients in the leisure, manufacturing and financial services sectors.

In 2004, Robert joined Dawnay, Day International as a Corporate Development Executive. At Dawnay, Day, Robert led the incubation of several, diverse start-up financial services joint ventures in the UK and overseas, including a retail financial services business in India (Dawnay, Day AV) which employed 1,500 staff within three and a half years of its incorporation. In addition, Robert worked on a number of transactions in both the property and principal finance divisions of Dawnay, Day, including the flotation of an AIM-listed UK hotel fund, the acquisition of a restaurant group and the establishment of Indian property development and hotel development businesses.

When not at work, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters and following the fortunes of Arsenal Football Club (which is not always so enjoyable). Close

Ole serves as the company's CIO, and is responsible for technology partnership and IT strategy including CFH's own development teams.

Ole is one out of a handful of leading IT experts globally in margin trading with over 25 years experience in complex software and computer systems.
Ole was previously Senior Executive Director, CIO and Head of IT for Saxo Bank for 10 years where he built Saxo Bank's first online trading systems and grew the IT department from two people into one of the leading specialist online trading organizations in the world with an IT staff of 300 people and an annual IT budget of 50 million USD. Before leaving Saxo Bank, Ole was in 2006 recognized as "IT Manager of the Year" in Denmark for his accomplishment in Saxo Bank.

Since leaving Saxo Bank, Ole has consulted for leading banks like Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.

Ole is educated as an engineer in computer electronics. Close

Ashraf is the Company's Head of Operations, responsible for the Back office, Partner Support Due Diligence and Cash Management.

Ashraf has spent over eight years with Saxo Bank in various Senior Roles within Cash Management, Treasury, Operations and Back Office. Most recently Ashraf has served as Head of Treasury responsible for a group of 20 employees. During his time at Saxo Bank Ashraf was the main driver and designer of Cash Transaction Automation, SWIFT and SEPA processes. Ashraf has also been working in various Financial Institutions as the Arab Bank PLC and The Change Group LTD where he was responsible for building teams and processes within Cash Management and Customer Services. Remonda is the Head of Legal & Compliance, responsible for all legal matters for the CFH Group.

Remonda is a legal expert focusing on the capital markets, in particular online trading of FX and other financial products. Remonda has spent 5 years with Saxo Bank in various senior roles within the Legal & Compliance Department, and was most recently Director and Head of Legal Affairs. During her time at Saxo Bank, Remonda established the legal function and developed its strategy, focusing primarily on technology as a driving force and facilitator for new legal solutions and services needed and required for the capital markets. Prior to Saxo Bank, she worked at Martineau Johnson Solicitors in Birmingham and London. Remonda has furthermore helped establish the Nordic Capital Markets Forum, which today she is an active board member of.

Remonda holds an LL.B (Bachelor of Laws with Honours and European Legal Systems) from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK and from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. Remonda is admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales. Close

Christian is the founder and CEO of CFH Group responsible for overall strategy and new business opportunities.

Prior to CFH, Christian spent several years with Saxo Bank where he was a member of the senior executive management team and Head of Europe (excl. UK & ME) & North America responsible for a group of 200 people, EUR 150m+ in top-line and roughly 80% of the bank's overall income.
Responsibilities included sales and account management, sales trading, wealth management and marketing.

During his time at Saxo Bank, Christian held several senior leadership positions including Global Head of Partner & Institutional business which he successfully grew by more than 60% a year for three years in a row and accounting for more than 65% of the bank's top-line revenue.
Starting out with a small sales team of eight people in Copenhagen he grew it into a global sales and account management team with 80 people in Copenhagen, London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo and Beijing.

Prior to Saxo Bank, Christian worked for Bloomberg L.P in London and was the co-founder and MD of a B2B Internet start-up also based out of London. Christian holds a BSc degree in Finance from Boston College Carroll School of Management. Close

Chris Mathias is one of England's most successful Internet entrepreneurs and private equity investors, born and raised in India but now living in the UK. Chris serves on several boards including the advisory board of Barclays Private Wealth Management and is member of the Global Philanthropists Circle.

Chris has invested in more than 30 companies either personally or via his two venture capital companies, CMG Partner and Arbor Ventures and holds an exceptional track record in building businesses.

Most notably Chris founded and later sold Conduit Communication in 1999 for in excess of 150 million GBP.
Chris had previously been the CEO of the Harpur Group, UK's second largest provider of fuel card services and has led a number of successful business turnarounds and buyouts. Prior to that Chris has worked for Arthur Andersen and Bain & Company in London. Chris holds an MBA from INSEAD. Close

Martin Gill has over 20 years finance experience with both blue chip and young start-up companies.

After six years in the audit practice at Arthur Andersen, Martin joined a turnaround team at a FTSE 100 plc, turning a significant loss making operation with over GBP 1.6bn of debt into a thriving business with market capitalisation in excess of GBP 600m. In 1993, Martin was co-founder and CFO of Conduit Communications, a software and web development company, named one of the UK's fastest growing companies in 1998. Conduit was acquired by Razorfish, one of the world's leading web development companies, for in excess of GBP 150m.

Martin now operates as a hands on angel and has a portfolio of some 10 investments ranging from a UK based call center business (turnover GBP 12m, head count 1000) to a non-food supplier to the largest supermarket chain in Holland (turnover EUR 50m). Close

David is an experienced business man. He has over 20 years of experience as Finance Director and accountant in several international companies. David is also a partner and board member in CMG Partners where he has helped numerous small and mid-size companies expand internationally.
Finally, David is a Director in Insurance Dialogue Limited, a fully FSA licensed insurance company.

David is educated at Oxford University and is a Qualified ACA from Coopers & Lybrand. Close
